Original British News Paper Dating 1793 with a Story about the Appointment of Lord Simcoe to the post of Governor of Upper Canada

Offered is an original news paper with two pages of articles, the main one outlining the appointment of Lord Simcoe being assigned Governor of Upper Canada and the various agenda, including the raising of a Militia. Two Prints of the 1837 Rebellion

There is little in the way of illustrations of this minor, but important revolt in the colonies that was crushed keeping Canada from being absorbed into the US. One print depicts a naval action, possibly around Navy Island, and the other depicts POWs guarded by British Regulars. Same artist, a nice display. Print of Colonel Tarleton Rev War c.1776

A favorite print of the infamous Col Tarleton wearing his signature helmet that became the standard helmet for all Light Dragoons in the British Army. Probably dates to early 20th century or late 1890s. Nicely framed.
